Professional Tool Reviews for Pros

In recent years, more and more brands are embracing battery power as it catches up to and even exceeds gas performance. One such example is Husqvarna, and we’ve gotten our hands on a number of their battery-powered OPE solutions. Now the brand branches out into new territory with the Husqvarna Battery-Powered Plate Compactor, which is the first of its kind in Husqvarna’s lineup. We’re looking at how this machine performs in the gas-centric compactor market. Power Trowel Blade

The big deal with the Husqvarna LFe 60 LAT compactor is that it’s the brand’s first battery-powered compactor. It runs on a Honda eGX motor and uses a 72V, 10Ah battery as a power source. By utilizing battery power, this machine eliminates the fumes, cost, and maintenance that traditionally comes with gas.

The LFe 60 LAT has a plate width of 13.78 inches. Husqvarna tells us its applications include compacting asphalt and soil. It also features a removable, easy-to-fill water tank that allows you to control the water flow and prevent the bottom plate from sticking to hot asphalt.

This compactor has a weight of 194 pounds. Even with its electric motor and battery, it’s heavier than many of Husqvarna’s other forward plate compactors, ensuring even better compaction results.

To find pricing for this machine, you can get a quote from Husqvarna, or find a local dealer. Husqvarna backs your purchase with a 2-year warranty for the compactor and a 1-year warranty for the battery.
